New travel rules, 80th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid, food galore in Rouen and so much more!

Travel restrictions have now all been eased for vaccinated tourists, making it simple to visit Normandy again. France’s ‘vaccine pass’ system also came to an end on Monday 14 March, meaning you will no longer need a pass to access hotels, museums, restaurants or cafés. Normandy is ready to welcome you back with open arms, so read on for a bit of inspiration and start planning your future trip.

Last November, Rouen was named ‘UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy’, becoming the very first city in France to win the accolade. The award is not for an individual dish or culinary style, but for the way food is produced, valued and, importantly, involves the local population.

2022 marks the 80th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid, and with it the occasion to pay tribute to the Canadian soldiers who fought there in August 1942. The ceremonies, commemorations and festivities will take on an international dimension and will feature events throughout the year. A major exhibition will also take place at the Juno Beach Centre.
